Our secondary services (Section 30), or other water services, are all aimed at helping to capacitate WSAs and WSIs to supply water to their clients typically comprise of households, communities, businesses and industries.
Magalies Water operates in an area of 42 000 km2 across three provinces being North West, Limpopo and Gauteng and two major catchments being the Crocodile and the Pienaars rivers.
Magalies Water proactively seeks to comply with the ISO 14001 certification requirements to ensure that our impact on the environment is considered – in every area of our operations.
Magalies Water eliminates all practices that have an adverse effect on the environment. All our operational sites are ISO 14001 certified and to date – we’ve managed to maintain our ISO 14001 certification at all our water treatment plants (WTPs).
The ISO 14001 certification of the Vaalkop WTP has been intact since its inception on 5 November 2004. The certification of the Klipdrift, Wallmansthal and Cullinan WTPs has been intact since 3 February 2010.
It is an operational imperative to subject ourselves to the necessary environmental audits every year. Any non-conformities are addressed immediately – to ensure continuous compliance and re-certification.
